Dr. Shando Valdez, 30 year Pastor & Consultant on Church and Ethnic community issues. He was born in Chicago to immigrant parents from Monterrey, Mexico.
Shando has been senior pastor at New Jerusalem Baptist Church on the northwest
side of Chicago since 1995.
Widely considered a pastor of pastors, Shando is heavily involved in the community and in bringing encouragement and direction to pastors.
He’s also a prominent leader in the Ethnic Community maintaining a strong commitment to the Evangelical Christian Church and organizations. He has
served as Senior Advisor to many political candidates running for various
offices.
He serves on the Boards of several local and national organizations and
is in frequent demand as a public speaker on various topics. His strengths
include leadership at all levels, professional coaching, mediation, strategic
planning and interventions.
Dr. Shando Valdez is also the host of the Total Living Network’s first Spanish-speaking program series HABLEMOS (Let’s Talk).
HABLEMOS is a weekly, half-hour Spanish television program that tackles
current issues of the day from a biblical perspective. Dr.
Valdez brings on weekly guests to break down and analyze the issues our culture is facing and giving practical applications as to how viewers may navigate these issues.
Dr. Valdez is also an expert on Critical Trauma Debriefing.
He is married to Lilliana, whom he met while doing ministry work in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They have three adult children and eight grandchildren.

Peter LaBarbera, 63, is president of Center For Morality and AmericansForTruth.news, successor to Americans For Truth about Homosexuality (AFTAH), a non-partisan educational group dedicated to exposing the
homosexual-bisexual-transgender activist agendas.
LaBarbera’s goal is to apply the same single-minded determination to
opposing destructive homosexual and “trans” agendas–and standing for
God-ordained natural family–as countless LGBTQ+ aka “queer” groups do in
promoting their unnatural and sinful agendas.
AFTAH itself grew out of the “Lambda Report” newsletter, which began exposing the gay activist agenda in 1993.
Center For Morality/AmericansForTruth.news is a rare group on the other side of this
critical “culture war”: although of course we were exposing transgender activism before it was “cool,” we have not “thrown in the towel” on organized homosexuality. And we never will.
