Featured Speakers
Dr. Shando Valdez, 30 year Pastor & Consultant on Church and Ethnic community issues. He was born in Chicago to immigrant parents from Monterrey, Mexico.
Shando has been senior pastor at New Jerusalem Baptist Church on the northwest
side of Chicago since 1995.
Widely considered a pastor of pastors, Shando is heavily involved in the community and in bringing encouragement and direction to pastors. He’s also a prominent leader in the ethnic community maintaining a strong commitment to the Evangelical Christian Church and organizations. He has served as Senior Advisor to many political candidates running for various offices. He serves on the boards of several
local and national organizations and is in frequent demand as a public speaker on
various topics.
Shando’s strengths include leadership at all levels, professional coaching, mediation,
strategic planning and interventions. He also hosts Total Living Network’s first Spanish-speaking program series HABLEMOS (Let’s Talk). HABLEMOS is a weekly, half-hour Spanish television program tackling issues of the day from a biblical perspective. Dr. Valdez invites weekly guests to break down and analyze current cultural issues while offering practical application as to navigating this culture.
Dr. Valdez is also an expert on Critical Trauma Debriefing. He is married to Lilliana,
whom he met while doing ministry work in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They have three
adult children and eight grandchildren.
Anni Cyrus is a human rights activist and survivor who escaped from child bride
enslavement under the violent Islamic ideology. Growing up under Sharia Law, Anni
was declared an adult at age 9, suffered repeated physical and sexual abuse at the
hands of many Islamic men, and then sold by her father into marriage at the age of 15
for the US dollar equivalent of $50.
Anni escaped Iran and made her way to the U.S. where she became a citizen at the age of 18. Despite ongoing death threats from abroad and in the United States, she is unwavering in her passion to free other girls and women from the same suffering she endured under the power behind Islamic Law. Anni is the founder of Live Up to Freedom, speaker, writer and producer of numerous videos revealing the horrors of the lives of young women caught in the web of Sharia law.

Peter LaBarbera, president of the “Center For Morality and Americans For Truth”
(successor to Americans For Truth about Homosexuality (AFTAH)). The “Center” is a
non-partisan educational group dedicated to exposing the homosexual-bisexual-
transgender activist agendas.
AFTAH itself grew out of the “Lambda Report” newsletter,
which began exposing the gay activist agenda in 1993. LaBarbera’s goal is to apply the
same single-minded determination to oppose destructive homosexual and “trans”
agendas while standing for the God-ordained natural family as consistently as LGBTQ+
groups do promoting and justifying their sinful agendas.
LaBarbera notes that:
“The Center For Morality and Americans For Truth” is a rare group on the other
side of this critical “culture war.’
Although of course we were exposing transgender activism before it was ‘cool,’
we have not ‘thrown in the towel’ on organized homosexuality. And we never will.
In fact, we tell the truth, even to ‘conservatives’ and Republicans who have lost
their way.
He continues ‘that there would be no menacing Trans Lobby in the USA today
were it not for the media-enabled ‘success’ of the aggressive ‘Gay Revolution’
that spawned it. This deviant-sex (and gender) revolution, an offshoot of the
Sexual Revolution, has led the way on the Left in transforming our culture away
from its wholesome, Judeo-Christian roots.
